Qualifications: - Minimum of one year Med/Surg experience - Degree from an accredited school of Nursing - Valid/Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. - BLS required 36hrs or 24hrs available! We are seeking experienced registered nurses for a General Care Float Pool at MG H. We invite you to deepen and expand your skill set caring for diverse patient populations on a variety of different units. Your patient care assignments may include, but are not limited to, caring for patients in general medicine, general surgery, cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, and oncology. - Flexible positions available: day/night, straight nights, day/night weekends - Hours available: 36 or 24 hours/week - No holiday commitment required The clinical staff nurse is a licensed registered nurse who is responsible for assuring competent, compassionate, individualized, nursing care for specific patients and families, including delegation to and supervision of non-professional clinical and support staff. The staff nurse is responsible and accountable for the overall nursing care management of a designated group of patients. She/he collaborates with the Nursing Director and members of the Patient Care Team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. She/he also collaborates with the patient toward meeting the needs and expectations of the patient and family. Clinical staff nurses ensure that care is safe, efficient, effective, timely and meets the cultural, spiritual, and ethnic needs of each patient and family.
