Family Practice Nurse Practitioner – Part time with benefits

The Urgent Care Service at MIT Medical is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for a twenty hour a week position. Successful candidates must possess strong triage and clinical skills, including orthopedic assessment, minor surgical procedures, episodic gynecologic complaints, and common infectious diseases. Will be expected to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other clinical and administrative staff.

MIT Medical serves the MIT Community including students, faculty, staff and families. Urgent Care is a seven day a week service, where nurse practitioners work as part of interdisciplinary team. A wide variety of patient issues offer a stimulating and challenging practice environment.

Requirements:

  • Certified family nurse practitioner
  • Current Massachusetts license to practice in the expanded role
  • Current ACLS and CPR certification; and a minimum of five years' experience delivering episodic or emergency care to adults, adolescents, and children
  • Experience with pediatrics is essential to this position
  • Previous experience using an electronic medical record is necessary.
